StreamGate Privacy Policy

StreamGate (“the app”) is developed by E2A Nordic (“we”, “us”). We build our apps privacy‑first. This policy explains what the app does — and does not do — with your information. In short: StreamGate has no user accounts, shows no ads, contains no third‑party trackers or analytics, and keeps your personal data on your device.
Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. StreamGate has no sign‑up, login, or user profile. We do not ask for your name or email address, and we run no server that stores information about you.
Data stored on your device
The following are saved only on your device so the app can remember your preferences. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or anyone else:
- Your watchlist and bookmarked titles
- Recently viewed titles and search history
- Your selected region and the streaming services you own
- The last TV/casting device you used
You can erase all of this at any time by deleting the app.
Information sent to third parties
To show movie and series details and streaming availability, the app sends your search terms and selected region to The Movie Database (TMDB) and receives results back. These requests are not linked to your identity. StreamGate uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. See the TMDB Privacy Policy. Streaming availability data may be provided via JustWatch.
Local network & casting
To let you cast, StreamGate discovers smart TVs and streaming devices on your local Wi‑Fi network (for example Chromecast, Roku, Samsung, and LG devices) and can launch a streaming app on the TV you choose. This happens entirely on your device and within your local network. We do not receive, store, or transmit any information about your network or the devices found on it. StreamGate does not play video itself.
On iOS, the system asks for permission to access your local network the first time you cast. This permission is used solely to find and control TVs you choose to cast to.
No tracking or advertising
StreamGate currently contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third‑party tracking. We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share personal data.
Children
StreamGate is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Your rights
Because your data stays on your device and we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on a server. You remain in control of the on‑device data described above and can remove it by deleting the app. If you have questions about your privacy under the GDPR or other laws, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
